That's right, retail credit unions: Starting May 4, you can offer Tap2Local, our powerful new cloud-native, hardware-free payments solution that empowers SMB owners to accept debit and credit card payments in real time! Integrated seamlessly with Banno Online and Mobile, Tap2Local gives your credit union exactly what you need to compete in the SMB space and recapture transactions that you're currently losing to payment processors like Square.
On April 14, our credit unions that had not yet registered for Tap2Local should have received an SLA with extensive details about the go-live plan. If you're subscribed for SLAs and you missed that email, please search for subject line, "General Alert: Your Tap2Local Go-Live date is May 4, 2026."
That SLA provides everything you need to know about configuring the Tap2Local enrollment prompt to target your ideal business owners, providing merchant support via Conversations, and accepting our Revenue Share plan. The SLA also includes a complete list of documentation and additional resources. If by chance you didn't receive the SLA, please open a support case so we can get you squared away.
Already signed up for Tap2Local? Fantastic! You're already supporting your local businesses with industry altering features, and now, on May 4, your authorized admins will see a new Tap2Local dropdown in People that they can click to access the Settings screen and configure the Tap2Local enrollment prompt.
